MyTrove is a free New Zealand based service that simplifies the often overwhelming task of notifying organisations after someone passes away.

With just one secure notification, MyTrove can alert multiple government departments like Inland Revenue, Work & Income, and the Passports Office as well as banks, insurers, utilities, and more.

This saves significant time and stress for families, executors, or lawyers—cutting down an average of 52 hours of work and eliminating the need to repeat the same information across different agencies.

The platform also offers helpful links for related tasks such as closing social media accounts, applying for probate, or checking for unclaimed funds.

MyTrove is free to use and funded by the organisations being notified. You can use it yourself or have your law firm manage it on your behalf.
