Newtown Chapel

At The Wilson Funeral Home, we offer thoughtful spaces designed to support you during your time of need. Our Chapel is modern, spacious, and filled with natural light. It features beautiful stained glass windows that reflect scenes of Wellington’s iconic hills and harbour creating a peaceful and reflective atmosphere.

The chapel seats up to 120 people, with additional space for standing, making it suitable for both larger services and more intimate farewells.

It’s also fully equipped with modern audiovisual technology to support live streaming, photo presentations, and music ensuring your farewell is both personal and accessible.

For private moments with your loved one, our viewing and arrangement rooms are designed to offer comfort and discretion. These spaces provide a calm and respectful environment where families can gather, reflect, and make arrangements in privacy.
